Overview
Two surfaces on one set of data, for one made-to-order studio. Nothing sits on a shelf: a piece is made after it is ordered, and that single fact shapes every date on the screen. Days are counted as studio days rather than calendar days — the bench is open Tuesday to Saturday, and an order placed before the 17:00 cut-off starts the same day — so a set of coasters ordered on a Thursday afternoon is posted by the Tuesday after, and the piece’s own page says that sentence instead of “3–5 days”. Personalized work waits behind a picture: a piece cannot leave the making column until its picture has a yes, and the refusal names what is missing — not sent yet, or sent and waiting on a reply — because those ask different things of the maker. Behind the shop the bench batches ACROSS orders: nine pieces from three different orders are packed onto one 600 × 400 sheet with the blade gap between them, whatever does not fit comes back as the list for the next sheet, and one press moves every included piece into making and books the machine. A spoiled piece is remade and takes the material with it, which is the only stock this shop keeps — sheets, blanks, filament and glaze, all of it the maker’s, none of it a count a shopper is ever shown. The manifest scaffolds eight tables into your connected database and generates the back office around them; the catalog, the materials and the quantity breaks are rows in there, so a studio changes what it makes and what it charges without touching code.
